GeoSastra engineering software

Geotechnical interpretation and analysis.

Move from investigation records to a defensible ground model, focused calculations, and report-ready engineering outputs without breaking the project story.

One GeoSastra accountThe seven-day trial includes GeoSection and Engineering Tools. Your project remains available to view and download afterward.

Built around engineering judgment

Model the ground. Test the parameters. Keep the evidence visible.

GeoSection and Engineering Tools remain focused products, connected by one GeoSastra identity and a common technical workflow.

The GeoSastra platform

Two products. Clear responsibilities.

GeoSection handles interpretation and delivery. Engineering Tools handles calculation and advanced review. A shared account connects them without turning either product into an overloaded dashboard.

01 / INTERPRETATION

GeoSection

Import boreholes and CPTs, draw the alignment, project locations to station, interpret stratigraphy, and issue a report-ready section sheet.

  • Plan-linked section editor
  • Editable geology and groundwater
  • Portable .section projects
Open GeoSection

02 / ANALYSIS

Engineering Tools

Move from source data into focused calculation and review workbenches without installing desktop software or creating another account.

  • Consolidation and soil parameters
  • NAVFAC bearing capacity
  • 3D CPT and SCPT analysis

A practical way to evaluate the platform

Seven days across both products.

Use the real workflow with your own investigation data, then move into consolidation, soil-parameter, bearing-capacity, CPT, and SCPT analysis with the same account.

01

During the trial

GeoSection and the Engineering Tools suite are available through one account, including project workspaces, analysis tools, sessions, and exports.

02

After it ends

Your work stays available to inspect and download. Source files, portable .section sessions, and PDF exports remain accessible.

03

Need more time?

Request an extension directly from the access control inside GeoSection. An administrator can restore editing without moving your project data.

One connected workflow

Interpret first. Analyze with context.

Each stage remains connected to the project rather than becoming a separate drawing, spreadsheet, or image export.

  1. 01

    Load the records

Read point, lithology, sample, groundwater, and CPT files into the project.

  2. 02

    Build the ground model

Align locations, correlate contacts, and interpret geology against logs, traces, and water levels.

  3. 03

    Open an analysis workbench

Review consolidation, soil parameters, bearing capacity, CPT geometry, or SCPT waveforms.

  4. 04

    Issue the evidence

Export section sheets, calculation summaries, plots, tables, and portable working sessions.

The connected workspaces

Evidence beside the engineering work.

GeoSection full workspace with map, project controls, and geotechnical section
Work with plan view, section view, project controls, and materials together instead of passing between disconnected tools.

Logs that read continuouslyLithology, test values, water levels, and termination remain attached to each location.

CPTs with contextScaled cone resistance and SBTn classification are rendered beside the section.

Editable geologySnap contacts to logs, shape lenses, layer materials, and maintain a readable profile.

Purpose-built engineering workbenches

Use the right surface for each decision.

01

Subsurface interpretation

Draw and revise geological contacts against boreholes, CPT traces, lab values, and groundwater.

02

Material characterization

Predict consolidation indices and summarize soil parameters by selected depth intervals.

03

Foundation review

Evaluate two-layer cohesive-soil bearing capacity with transparent NAVFAC factors.

04

Advanced field data

Explore spatial CPT parameters in 3D and interpret SCPT arrivals, velocity profiles, and site class.

GeoSastra platform FAQ

The practical details.

Everything needed to begin a real evaluation without losing control of the investigation record.

What is included in the 7-day trial?

One GeoSastra account unlocks GeoSection plus the consolidation, soil-parameter, NAVFAC, 3D CPT, and SCPT engineering tools. Section projects, portable sessions, and supported exports are included.

What happens when the trial ends?

Your projects are not deleted. You can still view project data and download source files, portable sessions, and report PDFs. Editing is paused until an extension is approved.

How do I request more trial time?

Open the trial status control in the GeoSection top bar and submit an extension request. An administrator can approve a specific number of additional days.

Which source files can I use?

GeoSection supports gINT-style Excel workbooks with POINT and LITHOLOGY or LAB data, plus optional SAMPLE and CPT workbooks. Downloadable templates are available from the project dashboard.

Can I keep or move my work?

Yes. Projects retain their uploaded source files and saved interpretations. You can also download a compressed .section session that restores the data, alignment, layers, notes, scales, and display settings later.

Who can see my projects?

Projects are assigned to the account that creates them. Other users cannot open or modify them unless they sign in to that same account or you share an exported session file.
